How do Recruitment Agencies work?

Updated: Jul 29, 2022

Staffing agencies save companies and potential employees time by acting as corporate middlemen, by matching the perfect candidate to a particular role.

Company-agency contact

When a company has a position, they wish to fill, they can contact a staffing agency with the specific needs they are looking for, the staffing agency then compiles all of the information and sends a call out for suitable candidates to apply.

Application

Potential candidates who may wish to apply for a position, can apply through the agency’s website. The agency is in charge of the entire hiring process.

Interviews

The recruiters go through every application received. Once they find potential candidates, they will start interviews. depending on the role being filled, there may be many interviews involved before the recruiters introduce the candidate to the employer.

Contract

The recruiting agency generally does all of the paper work involved with the employment contract once the perfect candidate is selected.
